Division of Recreational Sports

The Division of Recreational Sports hosts intramural leagues for a variety of sports. Check out http://www.recsports.ufl.edu/ for more information about the leagues and when the seasons start.


Fitness on Campus

Southwest Recreation Center and Racquet Club are available free to students and feature cardio machines, free weights, weight machines, organized fitness classes and much more. Students may also check out sports equipment. SG and Recreational Sports also maintain several pools on campus. Gator Nights

Gator Nights is a free program held at the Reitz Union on Friday evenings. The program features first-run movies, bands, improve comedy shows, cultural events, dances, DJs, artists, video game tournaments, popcorn and soda, and a free midnight breakfast. Lake Wauburg

This lakeside recreation facility is located eight miles south of campus on Highway 441. Come rent canoes, kayaks, climb the 55-foot tall climbing wall, play a round of disc golf, go waterskiing or just relax on the shore. Pick up any of the many yellow phones located across campus and use it to make free local calls.


The Reitz Union

The Reitz Union is the student union and the center of the University of Florida campus. The Union houses the Do it Reitz shipping store, a food court, the UF Bookstore, a game room featuring bowling lanes, the Orange and Brew coffee chop, the University Box Office and the Reitz Union Hotel. SG Free Bike Repair Service

SG offers a bike repair service, located next to the Reitz Union Colonnade on the North lawn. The labor is free; all you have to pay for is the parts.


SG Printing Lab

Students are able to print up to 250 pages per semester free of charge. The SG Printing Lab is located on the 3rd floor of the Reitz Union.


Student Government- Funded Organizations

Student Legal Help

Student Legal Services provides free legal advice to full time registered students. SLS is located in room 368 of the Reitz Union and can help you with DUI arrests, landlord/tenant issues, consumer and family law, property damage, traffic citations and notary services. The Center for Performing Arts

Thanks to SG, tickets to see the latest plays are only $10. All CPA tickets are subsidized for students, so you can see the finest quality performance on a student’s budget. For more information, contact the Phillips Center Box Office at 352-392-2787.


Starting New Organizations

Starting a new organization is easier than you may think. Come visit the Center for Student Activities and Involvement, or visit http://www.union.ufl.edu/ involvement and they can walk you through the process.


Student Transportation

Student Government oversees the campus Regional Transit System bus routes. These routes can shuttle you quickly around campus to and from you apartment complex. All you need is you Gator-1 ID card to ride the bus anywhere in town. RTS also offers the Later Gator, a nighttime shuttle that runs on campus and downtown from Wednesday- Saturday until 2 a.m. Visit http://www.go-rts.com/ for more information.
