How to Help Us in Working with Your File
Appointments
- Be prompt for all appointments. Because we see so many clients
per day, if you are late for your appointment, it causes us to run behind schedule
seeing other clients. If you anticipate being more than 15 minutes late, please
call and reschedule your appointment.
- If you cannot make your appointment for any reason, please call
and cancel your appointment so that we may see other clients.
- Bring in all documents regarding your case to your initial consultation,
including e-mails, and any correspondence received from the opposing party.
- Share all of the facts with the attorney when you first meet
so that they can better deal with any issue that may arise during your case.
- Feel free to bring in a list of any questions or concerns you
may have so that we can use your appointment time effectively.
- Please understand that when we request information from other
parties, it normally takes 3-4 weeks to get a response. When we have a response
from the other party, we will contact you so we can decide the next step to take.
If you have not heard from the attorney within 30 days of your initial consultation,
please feel free to call.
- If you have an open file, you may drop off documents or messages
for your attorney. However, you will not be able to meet with your attorney unless
you have a scheduled appointment.
Phone Calls and Messages
- Please do not call weekly for updates on the status of your case.
This takes away from the time we have to effectively work on client files.
- When leaving a message, please be brief and to the point. Because
of the volume of incoming calls, it is difficult for us to take lengthy messages.
- Please do not call and leave multiple messages in one day for
the same reason. All of the attorneys receive their messages and attempt to respond
in a timely manner.
- If you leave a message and do not hear from us within 24 hours,
please feel free to call again.
