Danielle Grosse currently serves as the Senate President. As President, Danielle acts as the head of the Legislative Branch within Student Government. She chairs Senate meetings every Tuesday, oversees each Senate committee, works with Senators on projects and initiatives, and ensures that Senate is running smoothly and effectively.
Danielle is a third year Industrial and Systems Engineering major from Jacksonville, Florida, and she has one older sister who also attends the University of Florida.
Danielle started her involvement in Senate during Summer 2016 serving as a replacement for the Murphree Senator. That fall, she was elected as the Murphree Senator for the Fall 2016-2017 term. Since then, she has continued her involvement with her election as a District A Senator in Fall 2017.
Within Senate, Danielle has served two terms as the Information and Communication Committee Chairwoman as well as a member of the Budget and Appropriations Committee. As Chairwoman of the Information and Communication Committee, she administered orientation to all Senators as well as worked to improve Senate’s outreach to students across campus to advertise open seats and opportunities within Senate.
As Senate President, Danielle hopes to be a resource for Senators to accomplish their goals for their constituents. She is committed to facilitating positive change through collaboration within the Legislative Branch and between the other branches of Student Government, and is grateful for the opportunity to voice student concerns and advocate for students at the University of Florida.
