Judicial Branch

Since 1914, the University of Florida has strived for fairness and honesty for all students through the student-run judicial branch of Student Government. The Judicial Branch consists of the Student Honor Court and the Supreme Court of the the Student Body.

A tape recording is made of all committee hearings and kept as Official reports in the Office of Student Services under guidelines provided in the Student Guide. Students may choose to have formal cases go before a committee through an informal hearing c onducted by the Director of Student judicial Affairs.

All judicial hearings are initiated by the Director of Student Judicial Affairs at the Dean of Students Office. This director is responsible for referring all disciplinary matters to the appropriate board. A group of impartial advisors assist students who are charged with violations of the Student Conduct Code.
