Government Branches

The University of Florida Student Government, established in 1909, exists to represent and act in the interests of the students. Student Government (SG) has created an academic and extra-curricular environment benefitting students through its programs and works to sustain and improve them each year. SG's power is balanced among three branches: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.

Fitness on Campus

Recreational Sports is proud to offer a variety of fitness opportunities and programs. These include: strength training seminars, more than 125 group fitness classes each week, personal training packages, fitness assessments and a multitude of special events and competitions.

Gator Nights

Gator Nights is the leading late night program in the Southeast and takes place every Friday night during the Fall, Spring, and Summer B semesters in J. Wayne Reitz Union. The program offers FREE first run movies, bands, comedians, improv shows, arts and crafts, novelties, interactive games, cultural events, interactive lectures, dances, DJ's, artists, video game tournaments, popcorn and soda, and most importantly FREE midnight breakfast!

Lake Wauburg

Located 8 miles south of campus on Highway 441, Lake Wauburg North Park and South Shore offer UF students, faculty and staff a place to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. Many activities are available including boating, swimming, volleyball, team development course, climbing wall and more. Admission and activities are free with a Gator 1 Card. A Gator 1 Cardholder may bring up to four guests.

Free Bike Repair Service

SG Bike Repair is located on the north side of the Constans Theatre on the North Lawn next to the J. Wayne Reitz Union.  This free bike repair service is provided by Student Government to facilitate a convenient location for cyclists to get his/her bikes repaired.

Printing Lab

The Student Government Computer Lab is located on the third floor of the J. Wayne Reitz Union in Room 365. It has been maintained and operated by Student Government since the Spring semester of 1998 and currently has 36 available workstations.

Student Transportation

Student Government oversees the campus Regional Transit System bus routes. These routes can shuttle you quickly around campus to and from you apartment complex. All you need is you Gator-1 ID card to ride the bus anywhere in town.
