Gubernatorial Fellows program open for applicants
Applications for the 2012-2013 Gubernatorial Fellows Program will be open through UF student government. The Gubernatorial Fellows program allows 12 Florida college and university students the opportunity to see and experience how state government functions for two semesters.
Fellows will be assigned to different agencies of the Executive Office of the Governor based on their degree concentration/major. Along with this, important Florida public service officials such as Governor Rick Scott, Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll, and Cabinet members will be available to meet on a face-to-face basis. In addition to traveling around the state of Florida and learning about its government, Fellows will have the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. to learn more about government from a federal level as well.
The Florida Gubernatorial Fellowship application is open to all juniors and seniors, as well as graduate students. Fellows are to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and are paid for their fellowship.
