Lauren Verno currently serves as the University of Florida's Senate President. Lauren is from Boca Raton, Florida where she attended Monarch High School. Lauren has served as a Freshman, Sophomore, and Journalism senator for the past 3 terms. She has held prior leadership positions on campus including Rules and Ethics Chairwoman where she managed both constituency requirements and absences. She was also a member of the Judiciary Committee, and Rules and Ethics committee. While serving as a Senator she has brought funding for 24/5 Library West Hours, Cell Phone Charging Kiosks, increased SNAP hours and drop-off locations, and created the first Student Government Senate Committee Workshop. When she is not working to better the student experience at the University, Lauren can be found at the Gator Football Games or baking cakepops! Lauren’s door is always open and she encourages you to stop by her office on the third floor of Reitz Union any time!
