Executive
The Student Government Executive Cabinet offers programming and services for students in a number of specific areas including Community Involvement, LGBTQ Student Affairs, Greek Affairs and more. The Cabinet Secretaries help advise the Student Body President about campus policy regarding issues within their Cabinet like Athletics, Parking and Transportation, Fees and Student Services. Cabinet meetings are open to the public.
Legislative
The 100-person Student Senate makes up the legislative branch, and is led by the Senate President and Senate President Pro-Tempore. Two student-wide elections for Senate are held each year. In the Fall, Senators are elected to represent different housing areas and zip codes. In the Spring, Senators are elected according to what college in which they are a student. Senate is responsible for allocating Activity and Service fees, passing Student Body Laws, Authorizations and Resolutions, and confirming Executive and Judicial appointments. Senate meetings are held every Tuesday in room 282 of the Reitz Union and are open to the public.
Judicial
All judicial power of the Student Body is vested in the Supreme Court of the Student Body. The Supreme Court is comprised of a Chief Justice and four Justices appointed by the Student Body President. The Supreme Court has judicial jurisdiction in all Student Government matters.
