Robert was born in Tampa, Florida and was raised by his parents with his younger sister. In Tampa, he attended Tampa Bay Technical High School, where he graduated with the Hyperion Award which is awarded to the Most Outstanding Senior in Athletics, Academics, Community Service, and Campus Involvement and was selected to the Titan Hall of Fame. Upon graduation, he moved to Gainesville to enroll in the University of Florida in fall of 2003. He is currently a senior majoring in political science with minors in history and leadership. Robert began his involvement in the Freshman Leadership Council, Pre-Professional Service Organization, Inter Residence Hall Association, Dance Marathon, and the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. At the beginning of his junior year, Robert decided to move onto the Student Senate and now serves as a two-term District C Senator, the former Chairman of the Judiciary, Transportation Planning, and the Textbook Action Committees until he was elected Senate President in March of 2007. After graduation, Robert hopes to continue his education by getting Masters Degree in Public Policy and then pursue a career in governmental affairs.
